"Pave Way"
June 2015
FoxHole Chicago

Introducing "NAGS", "GAPE", "PEAS", "AWOL" and "MASE"

Five Chicago based graffiti artists who were active during the illegal graffiti  strong eras of 80's and 90's. These artists have applied their graffiti roots to the more acceptable and legal practice of street art and public art while inspiring younger generations to aspire from this practice. This show concentrates on the history of graffiti culture, hip hop and how it has paved way for street art through real life experiences from real local graffiti artists.

Dedicated to innovator graffiti writers who have paved the way.

"Muliebrity Memoirs"
March 2016
Hyde Park Art Center

In dedication to Woman History Month, we invited 7 female local artists of various backgrounds to share their personal hardships. Introducing Artists: Michelle Welzen Collazo-Anderson, Dulce Maria Diaz, Esperanza Gama, Lisa Jenschke, Rita Koehler, Mary Cat Tepper and Delilah Salgago.

This exhibition was inspired by individual casual onversations with each artist at the opening of "Front and Center" at The Hyde Park Art Center. Months later, we were able to come back together where the conversations started - healing and helping heal along the way through various art mediums and inspiring text.

Red Dress: Artifacts of Childhood

Artifacts of childhood
Processing the past
When the memories aren't good,
What do you do with them?
Throw them away
Save them
Shred them
Remake them
Is it possible to still be true to your child self?

     ~Lisa Jenschke

~Esperanza Gama

"She who is centered in the Tao can go where she wishes, without danger. She perceives the universal harmony, even amid great pain, because she has found peace in her heart."

Tao Te Ching
Written by Lao-Tzu

Much of my processes as an artist are predicated on my
desire to platform the acting, feeling, living part of myself
and others that I often refer to as the knowledge of the body.
It is the part of experience that is not always empirical or
rational, but still reveals a complex system. Ironically in the
last year, I acquired a health condition that specifically affects women and has greatly altered my life.
When you find out that your body doesn't necessarily work in
your favor...you may begin to feel that it is working against you. Like a whole system is taking place without your consent, regard for your input, or concern for what you think.  I have had to shift, accommodate, and compensate for the inconvenience of what my body needs. There are days when it feels immense to care for myself. In these drawings I am allowing space to express, imagine, re-imagine the experience for what it is.

"Soular System"
December 2016
Gallery Thirty5

First Artist Call asking all artists - local and international to interpret their connection of the soul to eachother.

This exhibition was inspired by the interpretation of a lucid dream about a rising swan - learned about Cygnus, the constellation also known as the Northern Cross followed by the three wise men. Western beliefs studies find that Heaven is there - right above the Milky Way - Cygnu, connecting all souls in her universe.

We partnered up with The Art House - also introducing their artists in residence. The great response of this exphibition brought together over 50 international and local artists - seasoned and emerging - showcasing over 90 pieces of amazing soulful art. Truly a special exhibition, with success to help ignite artists throughout the globe.
